Promise of Light is the children and family branch of The Divine Universe—a space created to help us better understand children, the people raising them, and the families they are growing within.
Here, we look beyond simply asking “How do I change this behavior?” or “Am I doing this right?” to explore what may be happening beneath the surface—for the child, the parent or caregiver, and the family as a whole.
Explore parenting and caregiving, child development, emotions and behavior, individuality, different ways children may learn and experience the world, family relationships, generational patterns, safety, advocacy, connection, and healthier ways of growing together.
Because supporting a child also means understanding the child themselves, the person guiding them, and the environment helping shape who they become.

Children sometimes need adults willing to ask questions, speak up, seek support, and make sure their needs are taken seriously.

Adults have a responsibility to recognize risks, create appropriate boundaries, and protect children when they cannot fully protect themselves.
💬 Child Voice
Children should have developmentally appropriate opportunities to communicate what they feel, experience, need, prefer, fear, and think.
🌟 Individuality
A child is an individual—not simply an extension of their parent, family, diagnosis, abilities, struggles, or expectations placed upon them.
Sometimes You Need More Than One Room
Families don't fit neatly into categories.
A child's behavior may lead you into Understanding the Child, while recognizing that their behavior triggers something from your childhood may lead you into the Parent Sanctuary.
A developmental difference may take you into the Starlight Room, while its effect on siblings and household responsibilities may lead into the Family Room.
